The Brief

American BBQ giant CharBroil wanted to expand into Europe.

The Challenge

  • To investigate regional variances including key customer opinions

The Outcome

Smallfry’s store visits, consumer focus groups and own product evaluation techniques revealed the key features needed to produce a winning product. Smallfry detailed the design and oversaw the implementation through the chosen Asian vendor. The result was a single product platform that increased penetration in all CharBroils target markets.

Context

Smallfry opened our eyes to new opportunities in the European market. It was a very stimulating process and the resulting designs are an asset to our brand.
