Steve is an accomplished lecturer on design and heads-up Smallfrys unique customer focused strategic design work.

Martin Smith

Job Title

Creative Consultant –  MA Industrial Design

Qualifications/Experience

Martin attained an MA in Industrial Design in Birmingham after gaining a degree in Multi-Disciplinary Design at Staffordshire University. This provided Martin with a broad background in all aspects of design and communication which has informed his strategic design work with Smallfry, for many international clients, right across the spectrum of new product development.

Andy Shaw

Job Title

Studio Team Leader/Creative Consultant - BA (Hons.) Transport Design & MFA Industrial Design (Transportation)

Qualifications/Experience

After completing his BA (Hons.) in Transport Design, Andy attained an MFA in Industrial Design (Transportation) from the University of Umea in Sweden before working as an exterior concept designer at Toyota in Japan. He joined Smallfry in 2008 and specializes in creative design concept work through to automotive CAD surfacing.

After 16 years in the travel industry, a change of career found Tracy joining Smallfry in September 2009. Bringing a wealth of commercial experience and a degree in Operations Management, Tracy is responsible for growing the sales of the business and to develop long-term customer relationships.

Dan Bartram

Qualifications/Experience

With over 10 years of design consultancy experience Dan joined Smallfry in 2006. A BSc (Hons.) Product Design graduate, Dan’s work covers a wide range of design disciplines from award winning packaging to world leading medical equipment. He contributes to all aspects of the design process from design strategy and concept generation through to troubleshooting production.

Creative Consultant – BA (Hons.) Industrial Design & Engineering

Qualifications/Experience

Dave attained a BA (Hons.) degree in Industrial Design and Engineering from Leicester De Montfort University. He worked for numerous design houses, finally joining Smallfry in 1995. Dave’s major contribution is in front end creative design work as well as ‘A class’ 3D surfacing. Dave is proficient in many CAD packages with Alias being his preferred weapon of choice.

Qualifications/Experience

Graham graduated with a First Class BA (Hons.) degree in Industrial Design and Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University in 1997. Since then he has worked for a number of UK based manufacturing companies including Stanley Tools, Richardson Sheffield, Irwin and Swift Leisure. A skilled Pro Engineer user, Graham focuses on translating initial concepts into award winning manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications/Experience

Hana first dabbled with Smallfry in 2003 as a student on her placement year whilst studying BA (Hons.) Product Design at The Nottingham Trent University. Back with us now since the start of 2010, Hana brings her commercial experience from her time as a member of the Packaging Team at Alliance Boots.
