Today Smallfry represents the best of British design on the UKTI’s China Design Task Force and is an active member of British Design Innovation and Medilink West Midlands.
Plastics Industry Awards Consumer Product Category 2010
We helped HAB International develop Powerbreathe, a groundbreaking electronic inspiratory-muscle training system.
The Powerbreathe Kinetic is the world’s first portable, precision electronic inspiratory muscle training system. The unique mechanism and removable head have patents pending.
PRWThe judges chose Powerbreathe as the winner because “the design for manufacture was very well considered and there was excellent attention to detail”


Design Week Award 2010
Our work for Metrasens has been awarded a coveted Design Week Award in the 2010 Industrial Product Design category. Design week awards are given for outstanding excellence in specialists design fields and we are very proud of ours.
Our work for Metrasens resulted in : a 10 fold reduction in assembly time : Product cost reduced by over 35% : An 8-fold increase in turnover (within 1 year) : and Sales forecast to double for the next 2 years.

i-award winner
Metrasens were awarded ‘Best Cross-application of Technology’ at the 2009 i-awards for the Ferroguard product range developed by Smallfry. Science & Innovation Minister Lord Drayson and entrepreneur James Caan cited the products as being at the leading edge of British science, technology and innovation.
